Gunslinger Knights Review

By Dean on December 26, 2025

Im a big fan of a lot of games (Which is why I have this website honestly), that goes double for games with unique settings and very few are as unique as Gunslinger Knights. It’s a game that is a bit weird but wholly wonderful. Part post-apocalypse, part 1980s cartoon, part Arthurian legend, it holds something for everyone who has even the slightest inclination for high octane fun.

The Elevator Pitch

Gunslinger Knights is a game about dimension hopping Arthurian Knights traveling across a medieval world on magical motorcycles fighting for a pacifist people against necromantic agents of chaos who have started to invade a world destroyed by a magical apocalypse. I know that sounds like a lot (and it is in some cases) but it plays a lot more fluid than you might imagine. As well, the Cypher system allows for some amazing scene setting and introduction of incredible moments, which we will talk about and I may write a whole article on what you should be stealing from Cypher if you’re not playing it!

on November 20, 2025

This is usually done with something that clearly marks the property line. Sometimes it’s four railroad spikes driven into the four corners of the lot. Sometimes it’s four things buried at the corners instead—witch bottles, personal concerns, or other charged items.

Old Gods of Appalachia Review

By Dean on November 9, 2025

This is my first ever game review, I hope it is something you good folks enjoy. If so, let me know. I’d love to do a lot more of it!

I have a fondness for folk magic. It’s something I end up making rules for or introducing into just about every horror game I run. Some systems have some kind of magic already. This was the case with Shadowrun and with that I’ve added what I could in new magical traditions to match other folks traditions I know about it. That bit of realism added really pleases me to no end.

Gameholecon2025

By Dean on October 24, 2025

Another year another Gamehole Con in the books. This one was a lot different from my first experience because I finally stepped up to Gamemaster a bunch of games. I also worked with Monte Cook games to help show people their games and teach their system. That was an awesome experience to say the least. I also got a chance to talk to Catalyst people and got some news on our 2e battle.
